Auction at Reed Space

In September 2013, Sophia Chang curated a charity show for some friends Jerry Hsiao and Amanda Hsiao, for their daughter 5-month old daughter who was battling Leukemia.

Their campaign started when their 5-month-old daughter Leni was diagnosed with a rare form of pediatric bone marrow cancer, acute megakaryoblastic leukemia (AML-M7). Now, what makes baby Leni’s situation all the more complicated is that people of mixed ethnicity like her have a much more difficult time finding the lifesaving bone marrow matches they need.

In order to help raise funds for others like her battling against leukemia,
the campaign is keeping up the fight by organizing a silent art auction
with 100% of proceeds going toward that goal.

The show included more than a handful of heavyweight and familiar artists and brands pitching in to help.
The show exhibited over 200+ pieces of artwork from all around the world.

We were able to raise around $19,000USD that evening.
With 100% of the proceeds going directly to the family.
