Refinery29 and Adidas select Sophia Chang (along with 10 other female artists) to create art inspired by each of the 50 states. The canvas of choice is a white adidas UltraBOOST X running sneaker. My goal was to capture the essence of every state through illustration and design applied across a pair of workout sneakers.
Creating one-of-a-kind designs for each of my assigned state. The once-white kicks now boast illustrations inspired by the gemstones, local flora, regional cuisines, and varied landscapes of each locale.
