Yahoo Fantasy | Artist-Designed App Icon + Sports Illustration
Sports illustrator and designer Sophia Chang was personally invited by Yahoo Sports executive Ryan Spoon to create an original artist-designed app icon for Yahoo Fantasy, bringing her distinctive visual language into one of the leading fantasy sports platforms.
Sophia was selected alongside a group of artists and designers to create custom artwork specifically for Yahoo Sports. Her original design became a selectable Yahoo Fantasy app icon, allowing fantasy players to personalize the app experience with artist-created artwork directly within the product. The collaboration was released as part of Yahoo Sports' 28 Days of Fantasy ahead of the 2025 NFL fantasy football season.
The project brought together sports illustration, digital product design, artist collaboration, fantasy sports, and fan personalization, translating Sophia's illustration practice into a functional piece of the Yahoo Fantasy mobile experience.
