MLS x Sophia Chang “Scarftember” | Sports Illustration + Merchandise Design
Major League Soccer commissioned Sophia Chang to create a collection of original illustrated scarves and T-shirts sold at MLS stadiums nationwide. The artwork extended across apparel, collectible merchandise, and printed promotional materials available through select retailers.
The collaboration launched alongside MLS’s 2016 Kick Childhood Cancer initiative during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, connecting soccer, illustration, merchandise, and fan culture with a League-wide cause campaign.
Throughout September, MLS encouraged fans to participate through the #ScarvesUp campaign, with donations supporting Children’s Oncology Group.
